Angela Saini & Pragya Agarwal: Race Science & Unconscious Bias
An enlightening event on the perniciousness of scientific racism and how we might unravel and hold ourselves accountable for our prejudices.
Two leading scientists talk us through these issues: Pragya Agarwal, whose book SWAY: Unravelling Unconscious Bias examines the way our implicit biases affect how we perceive the world, our decision-making, and reinforce systemic and structural inequalities, and Angela Saini, whose Superior: The Return of Race Science charts how race science is experiencing a revival, fuelled by the misuse of science by certain political groups.
In conversation with Alona Ferber, Special Projects Editor at the New Statesman.
